Such a mindset aligns well with the teachings of Heraclitus of Ephesus, a pre-Socratic philosopher from the 5th century BC. He is renowned for his core belief that everything is in constant flux.

Heraclitus viewed the world as a place of perpetual change. He said everything is in a state of constant becoming, symbolized by the ever-flowing river. Stepping into it once means encountering a specific combination of water molecules at a particular time.
